From pilot project to global biodiversity monitoring network: environmental monitoring across several continents.
In 2024 Bracco launched a pilot project in Ceriano Laghetto (Lombardy) to assess and monitor biodiversity at the facility, combining satellite analyses and IoT sensors to detect pollinators and air quality, obtaining objective data on the state of the ecosystem and on priority areas for intervention. From 2025, the project will develop on two fronts: on one hand, the deepening of the pilot site, with continuous monitoring, the development of a Strategic Action Plan, and the creation of educational trails with pollinator refuges and informational panels; on the other hand, international expansion toward Milan, Torviscosa, Colleretto Giacosa, Geneva, Singen, Shanghai and Montreal, with the development of an integrated biodiversity protection strategy for all sites involved.
From a pilot project to a global biodiversity monitoring network.

In 2025, Bracco started the project with an assessment at the Ceriano Laghetto facility (Lombardy) to evaluate the current biodiversity status of the site. This in-depth assessment enabled Bracco to develop a concrete action plan with specific interventions aimed at improving biodiversity within the production site.
