    Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the most common questions about this tool

1What types of environmental maps can I generate?

Satellite maps are organized in 9 categories: utility (RGB imagery), environmental risks (land surface temperature, urban heat islands), microclimate, land use (NDVI, NDWI, NDMI), urbanization (imperviousness, population density), biodiversity (MSA, protected areas), carbon (current stock and sequestration potential), land cover, and IoT sensors. The full catalog with previews and technical documentation for each map type is available on the generatable tasks page.

2How does the generation process work?

The process consists of 3 steps. In the first, you draw a polygon directly on the interactive map or import a KML/KMZ file. In the second, you select the map types you need and the reference years for your analysis. In the third, the system generates your maps in the background: you can monitor progress in real time and download each result as soon as it is ready, without waiting for all layers to complete.

3What formats can I download the results in?

Each map is downloadable as a GeoTIFF, ready to import into any GIS software (QGIS, ArcGIS, etc.). You can also download a ZIP package with all maps in a single operation. Additionally, you can generate a free professional PDF report that includes all maps sorted by category, AI-generated narrative descriptions, territorial environmental KPIs, and a statistical summary of the area. The report features a customizable cover page with title, site name, and notes.

4Is there a limit on the size of the area I can analyze?

Without registration you can analyze areas up to 20 hectares. By creating a free account and using credits, there is no maximum area limit enforced. Credit consumption is proportional: it is calculated by multiplying the per-km² unit cost of each map type by the area of the polygon you drew.

5How much does it cost to generate maps?

On signup you receive 10 free credits, with no credit card required. Each map consumes a number of credits that depends on the selected map type and the size of the area. Additional credit packages start from €19.90. PDF report generation is always included and does not consume credits.

6Can I use the reports for CSRD/ESRS compliance?

Yes. The PDF reports contain environmental KPIs calculated from official Copernicus satellite data (Sentinel-1, Sentinel-2, CLMS, ERA5). The AI-generated narrative descriptions contextualize the data for sustainability disclosure. Metrics are aligned with ESRS E4 (biodiversity) requirements and the TNFD LEAP framework, making them suitable as supporting documentation for environmental due diligence and reporting to stakeholders and regulators.
