Fixes to carbon stock, acoustic sensors and census
We made the carbon-stock KPI consistent on sub-polygons, added an easy way to exit the Pixel Inspector, and sped up the activity data of acoustic sensors.
Bug Fixes
4 updatesCarbon stock consistent with the selected area
fix-carbon-stock-sottopoligoniWe fixed the calculation of the carbon-stock indicator so that it takes into account the sub-polygon you have selected. Previously, even when narrowing the analysis to a specific portion of the site, this KPI could keep showing the value referring to the entire area. Now the sub-polygon filter is correctly applied to this indicator too, so the numbers you see match exactly the chosen zone. This is especially important when you compare different areas of your site or want to focus on a precise portion. The carbon-stock value updates automatically when you change the selection. To use the feature, select a sub-polygon on the map and look at the KPIs in the monitoring section. You will see the data update consistently with the chosen area. This fix makes carbon analysis much more precise and reliable.
Exiting the Pixel Inspector is now simple
esci-pixel-inspectorWe made it easier to turn off the Pixel Inspector when you have finished using it. Previously, after activating the tool, it might not be obvious how to return to normal interaction with the map. Now you will find a dedicated entry to deactivate it, and you can also simply press the Esc key to exit instantly. This avoids the feeling of being stuck in inspection mode and makes the experience smoother. The tool remains easy to reactivate when you need it again. To try it, open a site's map, activate the Pixel Inspector and then deactivate it with the dedicated entry or the Esc key. The map immediately returns to its normal behavior. This small improvement makes using the analysis tools more natural and seamless.
Faster activity data for acoustic sensors
fix-attivita-sensori-acusticiWe fixed an issue that made loading the activity of acoustic sensors very slow and, in some cases, unavailable. The indicator measuring the intensity of buzzing was being computed over too wide a period, causing excessive waits and occasional loading errors. Now this data is limited to the last thirty days, a meaningful range representative of recent activity. We also updated the label of the value shown on the map points, clearly indicating that it refers to the last thirty days. This way you always know which period the numbers you read refer to. Consulting sensor activity is now fast and reliable. To see this data, open a site's map or sensor section and click on a point. You will see the recent activity load without waiting.
Faster census sensor view
fix-census-vista-sensoriWe improved the loading of the Census section when the dedicated sensor view is opened directly. Previously, even when opening this view from a direct link, the system would still start some biodiversity-related requests that were not needed, slowing the opening. Now the section immediately recognizes from the link which view to show and loads only the relevant data. This makes opening the sensor view faster and lighter. The behavior is especially useful when you share or save a link pointing directly to this section. To try it, access the census sensor view, including via a saved link. You will notice a quicker load free of unnecessary waits. This optimization helps make overall navigation more responsive.
