Sites shared between companies and reports in more languages
From today you can view read-only the sites that other companies share with you, filter the map between all sites and your own, and generate reports in French, German and Spanish too. We have also made the pollinator activity variation clearer and polished several details in Census and Overview.
New Features
8 updatesView read-only the sites shared by other companies
siti-condivisi-sola-letturaFrom today, when another company shares one of its sites with you, you find it directly in your personal area alongside your own. Shared sites appear on the Monitoring map with a dedicated marker and a specific legend entry, so you recognize them at a glance without confusing them with your organization's sites. When you open a shared site you see who made it available to you, and a clearly visible notice reminds you that you are browsing in read-only mode. In this mode you can explore the site's maps, charts and indicators, but you cannot modify its data: the information always stays under the control of the owning company. This new feature is designed for collaboration between organizations, for example between a company and its supply-chain partners, or for consultants who follow the projects of several organizations. To see the sites shared with you go to XNatura → Monitoring → Map: if there are any, you will find them already visible next to yours. Clicking on a shared site opens the usual info popup, from which you can enter the detail page and browse all the available sections. If you do not see any shared site yet, it simply means that no company has shared its sites with your organization.
New All/My filter in the map toolbar
filtro-siti-tutti-mieiOn the Monitoring map you now find a new switch that lets you choose whether to display all the available sites or only those of your organization. The filter arrives together with the shared-sites feature: with a single click you go from the complete view, which also includes the sites made available by other companies, to the view with only your own sites. This way the map always stays readable and tidy, even when the visible sites become numerous. It is a real convenience for anyone who works on many projects every day and wants to quickly focus only on the ones they are responsible for. To use it go to XNatura → Monitoring → Map and look for the switch with the 'All' and 'My' options in the toolbar above the map. The selection applies immediately, without reloading the page, and the map updates showing only the matching sites. You can change the view as often as you like, for example to compare the overall picture with your own scope of work. We suggest trying it together with the search and the other filters in the toolbar, to find exactly the site you need in a few seconds.
Delete the mounts you no longer use directly from the map
elimina-supporto-mappaWe added the ability to delete a mount directly from its popup on the site map. Mounts are the structures installed in the field on which sensors and shelters are placed, and until now, once decommissioned, they still remained visible on the map. Now, if a mount is no longer in use, you can remove it on your own with the new 'Delete mount' button, without having to ask for assistance. Before the removal you are asked for an explicit confirmation, so you avoid accidental deletions with one click too many. Once the operation is confirmed, the mount disappears from the map and a message confirms that everything went well. This new feature helps you keep the site map clean and faithful to what is actually present in the field. To use it go to XNatura → Monitoring → Site → Map, click on the mount you want to remove and in the popup that opens press 'Delete mount'. If you change your mind, just cancel the confirmation: the mount will stay in place.
Generate reports in French, German and Spanish too
report-fr-de-esFrom today you can generate the platform reports in French, German and Spanish as well, in addition to Italian and English. When you create a new report, the language selector offers you all five options, and the same applies when you upload an existing report. It is an especially useful feature if you work with international clients, partners or offices: you can deliver to each stakeholder a document in their own language, without manual translations. The content of the report stays identical in every language, only the texts change, so the data and the charts tell the same story everywhere. This saves you precious time in preparing your materials and makes the communication of your results more professional. To try the new feature go to XNatura → Monitoring → Site → Report and start creating a new report: in the generation window you will find the language selector with the new options. Choose the desired language, complete the steps as usual and the document will be produced directly in that language. We suggest generating one version for each language of your stakeholders, so everyone receives a report they can understand immediately.
Bug Fixes
8 updatesClearer and more consistent pollinator activity variation
variazione-attivita-impollinatoriWe made the pollinator activity variation percentage shown in the platform clearer and more consistent. Previously the value could look slightly different depending on the page where you checked it, for example between the pollinators section and the sensor tab in Census, raising understandable doubts about which number was the right one. Now the calculation is the same everywhere, so the value you see is always consistent across all sections. We also enriched the explanation that appears when you hover over the figure: it now clearly indicates which time windows are compared to calculate the variation. This way you immediately understand whether the detected activity is growing or declining and against which period. It is an important improvement for anyone who uses this data to assess the health of the pollinators in their site and to decide which actions to take. The fix is already active automatically and requires no action on your part. To see it go to XNatura → Monitoring → Site → Pollinators and hover over the variation indicator: you will find the updated value and the explanation of the compared time windows.
The monitored-sites counter follows the selected year
kpi-siti-monitorati-annoWe fixed an issue on the Overview page that affected the monitored-sites counter. When you changed the year with the map selector, the number of monitored sites could stay stuck on the previous value instead of updating, thus showing a figure not aligned with what was displayed on the map. This could create confusion, especially when comparing different years to understand the evolution of your projects. Now the counter updates immediately together with the map: you select a year and all the numbers tell the same story. It is an important detail, because the Overview is often the first glance at your projects and it must be one hundred percent reliable. The fix is already active automatically for all users and requires no action on your part. To check it go to XNatura → Overview and try changing the year with the selector: you will see the monitored-sites counter adjust instantly. If in the past you had noticed inconsistent numbers between the map and the indicators, you will now find everything aligned.
Census filters always tidy in their row
census-filtri-ordinatiWe fixed a visual flaw in the Census section that affected the selected filters. When you applied a filter, the corresponding chip could overflow beyond the tabs row, forcing the page into an annoying horizontal scroll, especially on narrower screens and mobile devices. Now the selected-filter chip always stays in its place, inside the tabs row, and the page keeps a clean and stable structure. The improvement applies both to the desktop and the mobile version of the Census, so the experience is consistent on any device. It may seem like a detail, but for anyone who often browses the observations filtering by species or by period it makes a real difference in terms of comfort. The fix is already active automatically and requires no action on your part. To see it in action go to XNatura → Monitoring → Site → Census and apply any filter: the chip of your selection will stay tidy in the top row. From there you can remove it or change it at any time without the page shifting.
Bat audio downloads are available again
download-audio-chirotteriWe fixed an issue that prevented downloading the bat audio recordings from the Census observations. If you tried to save the audio of a bat observation to your computer, the download could stop with an error, even though the file was regularly available in the platform. The problem only affected saving locally: listening directly from the platform kept working normally. Now the download works again for all bat recordings, so you can keep the files, share them with your collaborators or analyze them with your favorite tools. It is a precious feature for anyone studying these nocturnal animals, because the ultrasonic recordings are often the basis for further analysis and verification. The fix is already active automatically and requires no action on your part. To try it go to XNatura → Monitoring → Site → Census → Observations, open a bat observation and use the audio download button. The file will be saved correctly on your device, ready for listening or archiving.
