Reports exportable to Word and a clearer Overview
From today you can export reports to Word, choose the site from a new selector, and generate missing data straight from the report; the Overview, the air-quality charts, and the Monitoring labels also improve.
New Features
9 updatesExport reports to Word (DOCX)
report-export-wordWe have introduced a new option that lets you export your reports to Word (DOCX) as well, in addition to the PDF already available. Until yesterday you could only download the document as a PDF, which is great for sharing but not very practical when you needed to tweak the text or add custom sections. With Word export you get a fully editable document that keeps the report's block structure, with titles, text, tables, and images already laid out. This saves you precious time when you need to adapt the report for a specific client, add internal comments, or merge it with other company materials. To use it, go to XNatura → Monitoring → Site → Report, prepare your document, and choose export to Word. The downloaded file respects the order and formatting of the blocks exactly as you see them in the editor, so you will not have to rebuild anything from scratch. It is the ideal solution when the report is a starting point to customize rather than a final document. We recommend carefully preparing the content in the editor before exporting, so the Word file will be almost ready to deliver.
New site selector based on your structure
report-scelta-sitoWe have redesigned the way you choose the site when you prepare a report from the public reports page. If you are signed in, you now find a selector that mirrors your real structure, with projects and sites organized according to the hierarchy you already know from the platform. This way you can quickly switch from sample data to the real data of one of your sites, without having to search for or paste in codes. It makes creating a real report much easier, starting from the same page you use to explore the available templates. To try it, go to XNatura → Report, sign in with your account, and open the site selector: you will see your projects and their sites appear. Once you pick a site, all the report blocks are automatically populated with its up-to-date data. The selector shows the same organization as your monitoring area, so you immediately find the sites you are used to. It is a convenient way to generate professional documents about your real sites in just a few clicks.
Clear N/A state and a button to generate missing data
report-genera-dati-mancantiWe have made it clearer what happens when a report needs data that has not yet been calculated for your site. In these cases you now see an explicit N/A indication in place of the missing values, so you immediately understand that the data is not available and it is not an error. Next to it a Generate button appears, letting you start calculating the required data directly, without leaving the report or contacting support. This way you can complete the document on your own, launching the generation right where you need it. To use it, go to XNatura → Monitoring → Site → Report: wherever a value is not yet ready you will find the N/A indication and, if you have permission to edit the site, the button to generate it. The generate action is reserved for those who can edit the site, so accidental launches by people viewing the data in read-only mode are avoided. Once the calculation is complete, the values appear in the report and you can proceed with the export. It is a small help that makes the path from collecting the data to the final document much smoother.
New On-site regeneration card in the Overview
card-rigenerazione-on-siteA new card dedicated to On-site regeneration has appeared in the project Overview, designed to highlight the work carried out directly on your site's land. This card highlights the share of trees and regeneration activities that take place on site, distinguishing it from the overall picture of the impact generated by the project. Having it clearly visible helps you show at a glance how much you are doing concretely on the monitored area, information that stakeholders and partners greatly appreciate. To see it, go to XNatura → Overview and scroll down to the project highlight cards. The value shown updates automatically based on your site's data, so you do not need to enter anything manually. It is a useful tool when you present the project results and want to emphasize the share of regeneration done in the field. The card sits alongside the other Overview indicators without replacing them, enriching the overall reading. This way the Overview tells the environmental value of your project in an even more complete way.
New tutorial: how to generate KPIs
tutorial-generare-kpiWe have added a new tutorial in the How-To section dedicated to how to generate your site's KPIs, that is, the key indicators that summarize the impact and status of the project. Many users were asking for a step-by-step guide to understand where to start calculating these indicators and how to interpret them, and this tutorial answers exactly that need. The video walks you through the main steps, showing you where to find the feature and how to proceed when some data is not yet available. Thanks to this guide you can become independent in preparing the KPIs, without having to ask for assistance at every step. To watch it, go to XNatura → How-To and look for the tutorial dedicated to generating KPIs. The tutorial is available in Italian and English, so it can be followed by colleagues who work in another language too. It is short and designed to be followed comfortably while you use the platform. We recommend watching it before preparing a report, so you will already have your KPIs ready to add to the document.
Bug Fixes
9 updatesA more reliable report generator
report-piu-affidabileWe have fixed a series of issues that could make creating reports less smooth. In some cases, when the land-cover data was only partial, the generator could get stuck: now these values are handled correctly and the report builds without interruptions. We have also corrected the sample-data notice, which now disappears as soon as you choose a real site, so you are no longer left wondering whether you are still looking at demo data. In addition, the list of the site's areas is always loaded, so you can switch from one area to another within the site structure without running into missing entries. We have then made the wording in the template library clearer, so you immediately understand which ones are your personal templates. To benefit from this, go to XNatura → Monitoring → Site → Report: you will notice more stable and consistent behavior in all these situations. You do not need to do anything to activate these fixes, they are already available for everyone. If you had run into one of these hiccups in the past, we invite you to try again.
More accurate air-quality charts
grafici-aria-correttiWe have improved the accuracy and readability of the charts dedicated to air quality in the monitoring section. Previously, for some atmospheric gases the chart could show an axis entirely at zero, giving the mistaken impression that there was no data to display. Now these values are represented correctly, so you can read the real trend of each gas without ambiguity. We have also made the legend for the particulate matter (PM) thresholds clearer, specifying that it refers to the exceedance days per month. This clarification helps you interpret the data immediately, understanding how many times the threshold was exceeded in the period considered. To view these charts, go to XNatura → Monitoring → Site and open the section dedicated to air quality. The fixes are already active on all sites and require no action on your part. If some values had seemed unclear to you in the past, you will now find a much more reliable reading.
Corrected Monitoring labels and categories
etichette-monitoringWe have tidied up several labels and translations in the Monitoring section and in the map layers, to offer a consistent experience in every language. In some cases Italian text appeared even when the platform was set to another language, or the translations of some layers and indicators were missing entirely. These entries have now been completed and corrected, so every user sees the labels in their own language with no inconsistencies. We have also reorganized the risk categories: landslide risk has been moved into the Geological category, where it is more logical and easier to find. These changes make navigating layers, indicators, and risks clearer and more professional. To see the improvements, go to XNatura → Monitoring → Map and browse the available layers and categories. The fixes apply to all the languages supported by the platform. You do not need to do anything to receive them: they are already active for everyone.
Improvements
9 updatesA clearer, more consistent Overview
panoramica-piu-chiaraWe have worked on several refinements to make the project Overview clearer, more consistent, and easier to read. The biodiversity card (MSA) now explicitly states that the value represents the hectares of biodiversity lost and shows the overall total, so the number is immediately understandable with no risk of misreading. We have also renamed the section title to The impact generated by the project, a clearer wording that is in line with the meaning of the data presented. Cards that would show a zero once rounded are now hidden, so you no longer find empty or barely meaningful boxes cluttering the view. Impact values are now also read relative to the current year, for an always up-to-date snapshot of the situation. Finally, the field devices section no longer shows its sub-block when there are no active devices, reducing unnecessary elements. To see all these improvements, go to XNatura → Overview. Overall the page is tidier and conveys the most important information in a direct way.
