Overview of the project
Enel Green Power has developed an experimental project to create a replicable biodiversity-friendly agrivoltaics framework. In collaboration with XNatura and Italian universities, the project combines regeneration, advanced scientific monitoring, and academic validation to industrialize sustainability in agrivoltaic installations. The results demonstrated a measurable increase in biodiversity, providing the scientific basis to replicate the model across Enel Green Power's entire Italian and Spanish portfolio. The project represents a concrete example of how agrivoltaics can actively improve biodiversity compared with the baseline state.
