Cleaner territory map and clearer sensor selection
The Overview's territory map becomes cleaner and the device counts return in the detail, while in the Census selecting sensors is more immediate. The historical date gallery is available again, monthly map generation improves, and clearer warnings arrive in Land Use, along with more understandable KPI tooltips.
Bug Fixes
6 updatesCleaner territory map and device counts restored
mappa-territoriale-piu-pulitaWe've worked on the Overview's territory map to make it tidier and more informative. Previously a label with the number of sites appeared on the map, overlapping the other elements and creating some visual clutter. Now that label has been removed, so the map looks cleaner and your sites are easier to read at a glance. At the same time we've restored the device count for each site in the map's detail panel. In some situations this number was not shown, and getting the full picture of the equipment in place took a few extra steps. Now, when you open a site's detail from the map, you can once again see how many devices are associated with that area. This helps you quickly understand where your monitoring network is concentrated and plan any interventions. You'll find it all at XNatura → Overview.
Clearer sensor selection in the Census
selezione-sensori-censusWe've made selecting sensors within the Census more immediate and pleasant. When you now select a sensor on the map, it is highlighted with a colored halo that makes it stand out right away from the others. The map moves and zooms automatically to center the chosen sensor, so you no longer have to look for it or pan around manually. We've also removed the info bubble that used to open before and ended up covering part of the view. The result is a smoother interaction, where you can tell at a glance which sensor you're looking at. This is especially useful when you're working with many sensors close together and want to switch quickly from one to another. The information associated with the sensor remains easily accessible in the rest of the interface. Try it at XNatura → Monitoring → Census → Sensors.
The historical date gallery is available again
galleria-date-storiche-storicoWe've fixed an issue affecting the historical date gallery on the map. This gallery lets you scroll through the images available over time when you use the Historical base map, to compare how an area has changed over the years. In some circumstances the date selection no longer appeared, preventing you from navigating between the different available acquisitions. Now the gallery has been restored and works correctly again together with the Historical base map. So you can go back to choosing a date and observe the state of the territory in that exact period. This tool is very useful for analyzing how a site evolves and for telling the story of changes over time. You don't need to do anything special to benefit from the fix: it's already active for everyone. You'll find it at XNatura → Monitoring → Map → Time gallery.
Monthly map generation aligned with the polygon's year
generazione-mappe-anno-poligonoWe've improved the way monthly maps are generated starting from a polygon. Previously, when you started generation month by month, the time window could fail to take into account the year actually associated with the selected polygon. This could lead to producing images referring to a period different from the one you expected. Now generation is correctly anchored to the year of the chosen polygon, so the proposed months belong to the right period. The result is that the maps you obtain truly match the range you intended to analyze. This makes comparing different periods more reliable and reduces the risk of misinterpretation. It's a fix that makes analysis work on the map more precise. You'll find it at XNatura → Monitoring → Map.
A clear warning if copying Land Use fails
avviso-duplicazione-uso-suoloWe've introduced a clearer warning in the Land Use section. When you duplicate a land use map, the operation is processed in the background and can take a few moments. Previously, if the copy did not succeed, you didn't receive a clear indication and could keep waiting without understanding what had happened. Now, if the duplication fails, a message appears that flags the problem to you right away. This way you immediately know the operation needs to be repeated, without wasting precious time. This makes the experience more transparent and always gives you feedback on what is happening. The duplication feature remains unchanged and continues to make it easier to create new versions of your maps. You'll find it at XNatura → Monitoring → Land Use.
Improvements
6 updatesClearer descriptions for the regeneration KPIs
tooltip-kpi-rigenerazioneWe've made the help descriptions, or tooltips, associated with some key indicators related to regeneration more understandable. These indicators summarize important information, such as the contribution in terms of nectar available for pollinators. Previously the explanatory text that appeared when hovering over these values could be unclear or too terse. Now the explanations have been rewritten in a simpler and more direct way, so you better understand what each number represents. This helps you interpret the data correctly and make the most of it when you present your project's results. The way the values are calculated does not change: it only improves the clarity of the supporting information. It's a small refinement that makes reading the indicators more accessible, even for those approaching these topics for the first time. You'll find them at XNatura → Overview.
