Project storytelling and a Census import template
Project Storytelling arrives, letting you tell the story of your territory with chapters, maps and videos, plus a handy edit mode. In the Census a downloadable import template debuts, while the nectar cards, the air-and-noise charts and the wildlife carousel on mobile all improve.
New Features
6 updatesProject Storytelling: tell the story of your area
storytelling-progettoWe've introduced a new Storytelling mode that turns your project's data into a visual, engaging narrative. Instead of reading only numbers and charts, you can now present the story of your territory through chapters in sequence, with texts, images and maps that follow one another in an orderly way. The page includes a territory map with a more elegant and readable night skin, designed to showcase the area even in high-contrast conditions. At the top you'll find a header with the 3Bee and XNatura logos side by side, so the presentation keeps a professional, recognizable look. You can also enrich the story with videos, which play directly within the chapters without leaving the page. Storytelling is available in all five languages of the platform, so you can share it with Italian and international audiences alike. It's the ideal tool for communicating your project's results to stakeholders, clients and partners in a clear and memorable way. To open it, go to XNatura → Overview and switch on the Storytelling view.
Personalize Storytelling with edit mode
storytelling-modificaAlongside Storytelling comes a handy edit mode designed for whoever curates the project's communication. With this mode you can personalize the narrative texts directly, clicking on them and typing your own words without complicated steps. Every visual element of the story is editable, so you can adapt images and content to the story you want to tell. You can organize the narrative into chapters, add new ones, and immediately see a helpful hint when a chapter is still empty, with the numbering updating automatically. You can insert videos by choosing the desired source, to integrate multimedia content into the flow of the narrative. A visibility toggle lets you decide when the story is ready to be shown and when instead to keep it hidden while you prepare it. This way you have full control over what to publish and when. You'll find edit mode at XNatura → Overview → Storytelling.
Downloadable template for Census import
censimento-template-importWe've simplified importing data in the Census by adding a ready-to-use template. When you open the import dialog, you can now download a file template already set up with the correct structure. Within the same dialog you'll also find a clear description of how the data should be organized, field by field. This removes any doubt about which format to use and reduces the risk of errors during upload. Before, you might not have known for sure how to prepare the file, and a non-compliant format could make the import fail. Now you have a reliable starting point: just fill in the template with your data and upload it. This saves you time and makes entering information much more relaxed, especially the first time. You'll find the new feature at XNatura → Monitoring → Census, in the import dialog.
Bug Fixes
6 updatesWildlife carousel aligned on mobile
censimento-carosello-fauna-mobileWe've fixed the display of the carousel dedicated to wildlife when you use the platform from a smartphone. Previously, on mobile, the carousel could appear differently from the desktop version, creating an inconsistent experience. Now the gallery of wildlife images is aligned with the one you see in the Census on desktop, with the same behavior and the same look. This means you can scroll through sightings and animal images smoothly from your phone too. The fix is especially useful for those who work in the field and consult the data directly from a mobile device. The experience thus becomes consistent across all devices, with no surprises when switching from one to another. No action is required on your part: the fix is already active. You'll find it at XNatura → Monitoring → Census.
Improvements
6 updatesClearer nectar cards in the Overview
panoramica-card-nettareWe've reorganized the cards dedicated to nectar in the Overview to make them easier to read. Previously the information was spread across several cards that could feel redundant, whereas now the main content is gathered into a single, tidier card. We've also improved the tooltips that appear when hovering over the highlighted cards, fixing the behavior of links, the pin-to-front and the box width. To the card on the direct contribution of pollinators we've added a note indicating the source of the data, to help you understand where the information comes from. We've also disabled a card that showed an indirect contribution not yet sufficiently consolidated, to avoid misleading readings. These changes make the section more reliable and easier to present to those looking at the project's results. Overall, the nectar overview is now clearer, more consistent and more transparent. You'll find it at XNatura → Overview.
Air and noise charts even more readable
censimento-aria-rumore-affinamentiWe've refined the air-quality and noise charts by gathering the feedback of those who use them every day. The year-over-year comparison is now shown with a dedicated bar, which makes it immediate to understand how the values have changed compared with the previous period. For noise we've introduced a clear reference to the legal limit, so you can assess at a glance whether the levels are within the allowed threshold. We've made the labels more understandable, so that each value is clearly associated with what it represents. We've also refined the way sound levels are taken into account, for a measurement more consistent with the reference standards. These refinements come directly from users' suggestions and aim to make reading environmental data simpler and more reliable. You don't need to do anything to benefit from them: the updated charts are already available to everyone. You'll find them at XNatura → Monitoring → Air and noise.
