New map layers and clearer weather data
We added new layers to the map, improved the order in which they are shown, made the weather figures cleaner, fixed the hourly pollinator heatmap and introduced company SSO sign-in.
New Features
6 updatesNew layers available on the map
nuovi-livelli-mappaWe have enriched the monitoring map with new layers that let you observe additional aspects of your territory. Among the new additions is a layer dedicated to tree cover height, useful for assessing the vertical development of vegetation. We have also activated layers related to deforestation alerts, forest restoration and the area's potential vegetation. Each layer is represented with a consistent and readable color scale, the result of work involving dozens of data types. The layer labels have been translated and made clearer in all languages. To explore the new layers, open a site's map in the Monitoring section and choose the one you are interested in from the picker. You will thus be able to analyze your territory from increasingly rich and detailed perspectives. These new layers significantly broaden the platform's analysis possibilities.
Sign in with your company credentials (SSO)
accesso-sso-aziendaleWe introduced company sign-in via Single Sign-On, which lets you enter the platform with the same credentials you already use for the other tools of your organisation. Once this mode is activated for your company, you no longer have to remember a dedicated password: recognition happens securely through the company identity system. This reduces password-related risks and simplifies the arrival of new colleagues, who can access right away without creating a separate account. To use it, go to the sign-in page and enter your work email: if your organisation has activated company sign-in, you will automatically be taken to your company's portal to confirm your identity. After the confirmation you will return to the platform already authenticated, ready to consult your sites and your data. The mode supports the main enterprise standards, so it integrates with most systems already in use. If your company wishes to activate this option, our team can configure it together with your IT contacts. It is an important step to make access to the platform safer and more convenient for company teams.
Bug Fixes
6 updatesComplete hourly pollinator heatmap
heatmap-impollinatoriWe fixed the heatmap that shows the hourly activity of pollinators, so that it represents the entire time window of interest. Previously, some hours of the day might not show correctly, leaving the visualization incomplete. Now the heatmap shows the entire window from the early morning hours through to evening, giving you a complete picture of activity throughout the day. This helps you better understand at which moments pollinators are most active in your area. The color representation makes it immediate to spot peaks and quiet moments. To see the heatmap, open the section dedicated to pollinators in your site's monitoring. The visualization now covers all hours consistently and reliably. This way your analyses of pollinator activity are more accurate.
Improvements
6 updatesLayers ordered by availability state
ordinamento-livelli-statoWe improved the order in which layers appear in the map picker, to help you immediately find the ones ready to use. Now the layers that are already available and unlocked are shown first, while those requiring an activation or a higher plan appear lower down. This lets you focus right away on what you can view without further steps. We also made sure that any outdated generation indications do not remain visible for layers that are already ready. This way the state of each layer is always clear and up to date. To notice this update, open the layer picker on a site's map. You will see a tidier list that is more immediate to consult. This makes choosing the data to display faster and more logical.
Cleaner weather data numbers
dati-meteo-pulitiWe refined the way weather values are displayed, to make them more readable and consistent. Now precipitation in millimeters is shown without decimals, while temperature and percentages keep one decimal, according to rules that are uniform across the platform. This eliminates excessively long figures that could be impractical to read at a glance. We also fixed the badge that signals precipitation-related risk, so that it is based on the absolute percentage deviation from the norm. This way the risk indication is more intuitive and reliable. You will see these improvements in the sections dedicated to weather and in the sites' climate summaries. Cleaner numbers make reading the data immediate and professional. This way you can interpret the weather situation with greater confidence.
Climate-trend explanations also on mobile
tooltip-clima-mobileWe added a help tooltip to the climate-trend section in the mobile version. Previously, some explanations useful for interpreting the chart were available only on larger screens. Now, even on a smartphone, you can tap the help icon to read a short explanation of what the climate trend shown represents. This makes the data more understandable even when consulting the platform on the go. The explanation is concise and designed to be clear to everyone, without technical jargon. To see it, open the climate-trend section on a mobile device and tap the help icon next to the title. This way you can quickly understand the meaning of the data even outside the office. We keep taking care of the mobile experience to make it as complete as the desktop one.
