New Field Mode for smartphone surveys
Field Mode debuts for smartphone surveys, map notes welcome photos and attachments, the filter for observations still to classify arrives and charts and methodologies become clearer and more transparent.
New Features
7 updatesNew Field Mode for smartphone surveys
modalita-campo-mobileField Mode is born, a new experience designed for those who work directly on the ground with their smartphone. The page shows a full-screen satellite map with your GPS position always visible and updated in real time. While you create a new point of interest the map follows you, so the marker is placed exactly where you are. You can immediately attach photos and short notes to each point, with no complicated steps: everything is optimised to be used with one hand, even under the sun. The notes and materials collected in the field can then be conveniently found on the platform from your computer, ready to be analysed. This eliminates the double transcription between paper notes and the digital system, saving precious time on every field visit. To try it, open your site's monitoring from a smartphone and activate Field Mode. In the following days this mode will receive many more features, including offline support.
Photos and documents attached to map notes
allegati-note-mappaThe georeferenced notes on the map now also welcome images and documents. You can drag files directly onto the note or select them from your device, and find them again in a tidy gallery with previews. Clicking an image opens a full-screen view to observe every detail. Notes complete with photographic material become precious documentation: you can show the evolution of an area, keep proof of an intervention or report a problem with an image attached. We also improved the interface messages: deleting a note now asks for confirmation and gives clear feedback, and if you try to place a marker outside the site perimeter you receive an understandable explanation. The notes are also available on the census map, with a more compact layers control. To use them, open the site map, select an existing note or create a new one and add your attachments. This way the visual memory of your site grows day after day.
Filter for observations still to classify
filtro-osservazioni-da-classificareA new filter has arrived in the census observations section that shows only the observations not yet classified. Anyone who takes care of reviewing the surveys knows how much time was lost scrolling through long lists to spot the items still to sort out. With a single click you now isolate everything that is waiting for a classification and you can work through it in sequence without distractions. The filter combines with the other criteria already available, such as the period and the type of observation. This makes the classification workflow much faster and tidier, especially on sites with many observations. To use it, open your site's census, go to the observations and activate the dedicated filter from the classification options. When all the observations are classified, the filtered list will remain empty: a small visible milestone. It is concrete help to keep the census data complete and in order.
Bug Fixes
7 updatesScore colours aligned with the charts
colori-punteggi-allineatiWe aligned the colours of the score badges with those of the bands shown in the charts. Previously it could happen that an indicator appeared with one colour in the summary and a different shade in the detail chart, creating doubts about how to read it. Now the colour logic is unique: the same value produces the same colour everywhere, from the badge to the chart band. This makes it immediate to understand whether a score is in the positive, intermediate or critical zone, without ambiguous interpretations. The visual consistency also helps when you share your screen or export content for a presentation. You will find the aligned colours in the indicator tables and in the site detail cards. No action is needed: the fix is already active across the whole platform. Consistent graphic details make the data more trustworthy in the eyes of those who read it.
Descriptions always in the selected language
traduzioni-cambio-linguaWe fixed an issue on the overview page where some descriptions did not update when changing language. The sections that tell the story of the organisation and the project could remain in the previous language until the page was reloaded. Now, when you choose a new language from the interface, these texts are also retranslated immediately. The multilingual experience is therefore consistent from the beginning to the end of the page, without language mixtures. This is particularly useful for international organisations that share the same page with people from different countries. To check, open your organisation's overview and change the language from the selector. You will see the company description and the project story adapt instantly. One more detail that makes the platform suitable for a truly international audience.
Improvements
7 updatesClearer and more transparent regeneration charts
grafici-rigenerazione-piu-chiariWe dedicated special care to the regeneration section to make it more understandable and transparent. The biodiversity strategy chart now clearly explains what each bar represents, and when a value is not available an explicit label appears instead of a misleading number. The nectar and CO2 impact charts now cite the data sources, so you always know where the estimates come from. We also added an information note on the soil CO2 calculation, to clarify the limits and assumptions of the model. The mobile regeneration and monitoring cards also now use more precise wording for their indicators. All this allows you to read the results with full awareness and present them with confidence to third parties. To explore the news, open a site's regeneration section and consult the strategy and impact charts. Transparency about sources is the best way to give value to environmental results.
Rewritten climate risk explanations
metodologia-rischi-piu-chiaraWe rewrote the labels and explanations of the methodology used to assess climate risks. Each indicator now presents a short and immediate summary, while the complete explanation is available in a dedicated detail window. We also added the description for the risk linked to snowfall, which previously was not documented with the same level of care. The new wording is available in all five platform languages. This double depth, summary right away and detail on demand, lets you choose how deep to go depending on the moment. It is a great help when you need to explain the results to non-technical colleagues or include them in a report. To consult the explanations, open a site's risks section and tap the methodology icon next to an indicator. Understanding how a score is built is the first step to trusting the score itself.
