Site report on every plan and richer reports
The site report becomes available on all plans and gains new vegetation maps, climate indicators and more customization options, with more accurate data. Storytelling on smartphones, the planting labels in the Overview and the noise station in the Census also improve.
New Features
9 updatesThe site report is now available on every plan
report-tutti-pianiWe've made the site report and its HTML version available on all platform plans. Until yesterday, report generation was accessible only to certain profiles, whereas now everyone can create complete documents from their site's data. This lets you turn your monitoring into tidy, professional reports in just a few steps, ready to share with colleagues, partners and stakeholders. The report gathers the site's main information — maps, indicators and environmental data — into a single document. The HTML version is especially convenient because you can view it directly in the browser and share it with a simple link. This way you always have a clear way to tell the story of your territory's value. To create a report, go to XNatura → Monitoring → Site → Report and start composing a new document. You don't need to do anything to enable this: you'll find it already available on your site.
New vegetation maps and climate indicators in reports
report-mappe-climaWe've enriched the report generator with new maps and new indicators designed to better tell the story of how your territory evolves. You can now insert maps that show the seasonal trend of the vegetation index (NDVI) and the year-over-year comparison, so you can highlight changes over time at a glance. These maps help you understand where the vegetation is most vigorous and where instead there are areas that deserve more attention. We've also added new indicators dedicated to climate anomalies, which highlight deviations from the average and make the weather data easier to read. All these elements are filled in automatically with the real data of the site you choose, with no need to enter them by hand. This way you can compose richer, more complete reports, able to show both the current state and the trends over time. To use them, go to XNatura → Monitoring → Site → Report, add a new block and choose the new maps and indicators from the library. We recommend pairing the maps with a short description, so readers can interpret them even more easily.
Bug Fixes
9 updatesGeneration progress no longer stays stuck
badge-generazione-progressoWe've fixed the indicator that shows progress when you start generating data on the platform. Previously this indicator could remain stuck at a very low percentage, giving the impression that the processing was blocked even when it was actually proceeding. This could create uncertainty and lead you to wait without really knowing how far along the process was. Now the indicator updates correctly and shows the real completion percentage, step by step. This way you can follow the generation's progress with peace of mind and understand when it will be ready. The visual feedback is more reliable and helps you organize your work better. The fix is already active for everyone and requires no action on your part. You'll notice it when you start a data generation at XNatura → Monitoring → Land Use.
More accurate and reliable report data
report-dati-affidabiliWe've fixed several details that make the data in reports more accurate and reliable. Weather indicators are now correctly associated with the right information layer, so the values shown really correspond to the analysed area. In the blocks dedicated to fires, when the map is generated and no events are found, a clear zero value now appears instead of a not-available indication. The vegetation index chart now uses the real monthly data series, giving a trend that is more faithful to the site's situation. We've also fixed the titles of numbered sections, which in some cases were interpreted as lists and lost their numbering: now the numbers stay in place. Overall the documents you generate are more consistent and reliable, with information that truly reflects the site's data. You don't need to do anything to benefit from these fixes: they are already active for all reports. You'll notice them when you create or update a document at XNatura → Monitoring → Site → Report.
Improvements
9 updatesMore control over the report cover and maps
report-personalizzazione-copertinaWe've added new tools that give you greater control over the visual appearance of your reports. You can now adjust the intensity of the dark overlay applied on top of the cover image, so the text always stays readable whatever photo you choose. We've also lightened the tone of the cover text, for a more elegant and tidy result. For blocks that contain a map, you can now decide the width of the side description, balancing the space between image and text to suit your needs. These touches let you take care of every detail of the document without needing graphic-design skills. The result is more professional, consistent and pleasant reports to read. To try them, go to XNatura → Monitoring → Site → Report and use the customization tools for the cover and the map blocks. We recommend choosing a stronger overlay when the cover photo is very bright, so the title always stays clearly visible.
Report templates open in your language
report-lingua-modelliWe've improved template selection in the report generator, which now takes into account the language you use the platform in. When you open the window to select a template, the contents are shown directly in the language of your interface. This way you immediately find the right templates, without the risk of getting confused between versions in different languages. This is especially useful for those working in international teams or managing sites in several countries. Selection becomes clearer and more consistent with the rest of the platform experience. The template preview also respects the chosen language, so you know exactly what you're about to use. To try it, go to XNatura → Monitoring → Site → Report and start creating a new report by choosing a template. It's a small refinement that makes preparing documents smoother and more natural.
Storytelling more polished and comfortable on smartphones
storytelling-mobileWe've worked a lot on the project Storytelling to make it more polished and comfortable to use, especially on smartphones and tablets. We've fixed the layout of the content on smaller devices, so text, cards and menus no longer spill over the edges of the screen. The bar with the main indicators now adapts better: the controls stay on a single line and the indicators scroll comfortably below, taking up the full available width. The menu for choosing the period has also been made tidier and always easy to reach as you scroll the page. We've improved how images are rendered, keeping the correct proportions to avoid cropping or distortion. We've also added a new indicator dedicated to adopted hives, which enriches the story of your project. Overall we've taken care of many small visual and navigation details, in an update that touches many aspects of the experience. To discover them, go to XNatura → Overview and switch on the Storytelling view, ideally from your phone.
Clearer labels for on-site and off-site planting
etichette-piantumazioneWe've made the labels of some Overview cards dedicated to planting clearer. The cards now explicitly distinguish planting carried out inside the site from planting done off-site, with terms that are easier to understand. Previously the difference between these two types of work might not have been entirely obvious. With the new wording you immediately understand which context each figure refers to, with no risk of confusion. This helps you read the numbers correctly and tell the story of the work done on the territory with precision. It's a small change to the wording, but it noticeably improves the clarity of the information. The change is already active for everyone and requires no action on your part. You'll find it at XNatura → Overview, in the cards dedicated to planting.
Clearer noise station: thresholds, guide and import
censimento-sensori-rumoreWe've improved the management of the noise-monitoring station within the Census. You can now turn the display of the reference threshold on the charts on or off, so you can read the data with or without the limit value depending on what you need. We've added a dedicated guide that explains in simple terms the meaning of the different measures, useful especially if you're not familiar with the technical terms related to noise. Data import has also been made clearer: the structure of the file to upload is now better described, reducing the risk of errors. This way preparing and uploading data becomes simpler and safer. These improvements make noise analysis more understandable even for those using it for the first time. To use them, go to XNatura → Monitoring → Air and noise and open the section dedicated to the noise station. We recommend consulting the new measures guide before interpreting the values shown in the charts.
