Reporting & Natural Capital Accounting System

XN Reporting — Reporting & Natural Capital Accounting System

Audit-ready disclosures, certification packs and natural capital accounts, generated from the same living dataset every year. Signed by an ESG strategist.

For sustainability, compliance and permitting teams that must deliver ESRS, GRI, BREEAM/LEED, EIA and EUDR documents, and for asset managers who must account for the ecosystem services of the land they hold.

What we cover, procedure by procedure

For each procedure, the list of elements the regulation requires and which ones the platform covers. Rows whose verdict is «out of scope» are listed like all the others: getting the scope wrong is the surest way to lose the trust of a consultant or a review panel. Every row expands and states why it has that verdict.

La componente ambientale del SIA è la parte che pesa di più in ore uomo e quella che copriamo meglio. Non copriamo la VIA intera: le voci qui sotto sono tutte quelle che i documenti veri contengono, comprese quelle che non facciamo.

The list comes from real documents — 32 Studi di Impatto Ambientale e allegati del portale MASE (va.mite.gov.it), censiti ad agosto 2026. Le voci sono ordinate per quanti documenti le contengono davvero, non per quanto ci conviene metterle in cima.

132 elements, each with its own verdict, drawn from 47 real documents on the Italian environmental assessment portal and the platform's 104 catalogue entries. Of these, 251 are environmental and count towards the coverage percentage: the plant's design figures stay listed but out of the denominator.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA)?

The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) is not just an administrative procedure, but a real integrated decision-making process aimed at ensuring that economic development is compatible with the protection of natural capital.

When is the EIA required?

The EIA is mandatory for projects that, by nature, size, or location, may have significant impacts on the environment. Regulations (such as the European Directive 2011/92/EU and national transpositions) indicate specific categories: Strategic infrastructures: highways, railways, ports, and airports.

What is XNatura's role in the EIA?

Traditionally, the EIA requires long field survey campaigns and documentary analyses. XNatura simplifies and speeds up this process through remote analysis of satellite data (remote sensing) and the use of artificial intelligence, making the assessment quicker, more precise, and consistent over time.

What happens after the EIA is approved?

One of the most critical phases of the EIA is not just obtaining authorization but verifying that the actual impacts do not exceed those estimated and that the mitigation measures are effective. XNatura transforms this phase from a bureaucratic obligation into a strategic asset.

What is the Pollution Suite by XNatura?

The Pollution Suite by XNatura analyzes historical data, satellite maps, and field monitoring to identify the major risks associated with pollution and the impacts that business activities can have on the environment and surrounding communities.

What do you receive from XN Reporting?

Coverage matrix. For each procedure, which required elements the measured data covers, partially covers or does not: one row per element.

What data feeds XN Reporting?

One dataset: Satellite, sensors and surveys from every other XN product.

Which standards does XN Reporting support?

CSRD / ESRS, GRI, BREEAM / LEED, EUDR, EIA / SEA / PMA, TNFD, Natural capital.
